Hi I’m Pippa and I am Beryl’s niece. I love using her book to make both traditional preserves as well as having fun trying out some recipes from the most unlikely produce. Marrow and ginger jam and banana and lemon jam are two of my favourites.

Our home in London has a very small garden. We grow our own herbs and  I am always looking around for good sources of fresh fruits and vegetables. We live very near New Covent Garden which is perfect for buying huge quantities. For smaller amounts I buy locally from stalls and farmers markets. Friends have allotments and a trip out of the city might find me picking my own.

I cook for my husband and myself, for my two grown up daughters and friends.
